WE3 - A large quantity of flint waste was found including a few cores, but nothing was found which could be regarded as discarded tools. (1)

We again returned to walk over this site - a quantity of small flints were found which seemed to be spread evenly over the field. (2)

Fieldwalking by the Sherwood Arch. Soc. in fields at Sparrow Castle Farm in autumn 1977. Finds were mainly of pottery incl. RB and Midlands Purple ware, as well as a few pieces of flint.(3)
