Morph 21/3/1 Ro linear system / field boundary (part of group Ro field system). (2)

The cropmark remains of a linear ditch and fragmented remains of a rectilinear enclosure thought to Iron Age or Roman in period were mapped from aerial photographs. The linear ditch is aligned NW-SE and appears to continue to the NW beyond a band of trees. This northern section of the ditch has been mapped previously as part of the Nottinghamshire NMP project. The southern section of ditch is crossed by a second perpendicular ditch, also visible as a cropmark. It is possible that this is a former field boundary, but no trace of this could be found on any of the earlier editions of the OS Map. (3-4)
