Full Description

A polished flint axehead, 10cm by 4cm, was found by Mr F Smart whilst digging a trench. It lay in sandy gravel c 2ft deep. Now in Mansfield Museum. (1)
This implement was found by Mr Hadfield and given to Mr Smart who deposited it in the museum. The findspot is confirmed as correct. (2) (3)
