Full Description

2 or 3 years since, a well-finished celt of polished stone was picked up in the burial ground of these skeletons. It is not made of flint, but has an appearance like what would be produced by polishing the hard lias-stone in which the bones were laid. (1)
Neo stone axe from S Collingham. (2)
In NWM, grid ref approx. An old label attached carries Dr Wake's name so the find must have been made by the mid C19. Possibly the one noted above. (3)
A Neo axe of group VI banded (No 333, NT 56). (4)
See M4320 for burial ground - not near this grid ref. See L8682 for second axe from Collingham.
