Full Description
Ro material found in this area. Bronze penannular brooch, sherds (mostly grey ware) and an illegible coin. (1)
The brooch, part missing, pottery and a very worn coin were all given by E Holland of Hall Farm. Mr Wells, former partner of Mr Holland's late father, indicated the find spot on the W rim of an old quarry at above grid ref, and said the finds were made when the field which was permanent pasture was first ploughed just after the war. Perambulation produced 2 sherds of grey ware, one of which was a heavy rim. (2)
See L8680 for Med finds.
