Full Description
Bronze axehead, probably late BA found in 1949. Not yet verified. (1)
An early BA axehead was found 18in below ground surface during building work in a shallow valley at Edwalton Hill. The axehead is 7.25in long, unflanged, having 2 rivet holes at the haft end. It is patinated and badly pitted. (2)
An undefined area known as "Edwalton Hill" is centred at SK 591361. (4)
Above grid ref confirmed, houses in this area built soon after 1945. (5)
