Full Description

A number of Neo flint artefacts have been found in Andrew's Field, since 1946, by the farmer Mr J Powell. In 1975, an area of 70 sqm was excavated in the NE of the field, but no features were found. A total of 1092 flints and waste flakes were found - 709 from excavation, 383 from surface collection. These included arrowheads of Neo and early BA date, cores, scrapers, hammerstone etc. (1)
