A bronze palstave found at Daneshill, Retford, was presented to NWM by W Thompson (possibly from Daneshill Farm, Sutton). (1)
The exact provenance of the find was not ascertained. Location of find confirmed. (2)
Danes Hill falls within a restricted area. The farm is unoccupied. (3)
Bronze axehead, NWM. Listed as Retford, but gives above grid ref, Daneshill Farm in Sutton. (4)
