Full Description

SK 730856 Hayton I. A scatter of Ro pottery and building material was found at the base of the slope below Hillside House, at c 50ft OD. (1)
The field is at present under crop and could not be perambulated. Local enquiries negative. (2)
The museum classify the pottery as C3, the building material consists of tile, stone and plaster also classified as Ro. Re-sited by Mr March to a more accurate point at above grid ref. Finds made in 1961. (3)
