Full Description

SK 734862 Hayton IV. A scatter of pottery sherds (including samian, colour coated, Derbys and Dales wares, and other coarse grey wares) building stone and roofing tile, a coin and a bronze penannular brooch of E Fowler's type C, was found between sites L4972 and L4973. (1)
The field is at present under grass. Nothing of interest was seen. (2)
Re-sited by Mr March more accurately to above grid ref. The C2-C4 material which was found in 1962 is located as in (1). (3)
