Full Description

A scatter of pottery sherds was located in the 1st field on the right of Wood Lane, leading to Wood Farm, past the last row of houses in Beckingham. This included one sherd of samian, colour coated ware, mortaria, a pie dish rim and other coarse grey wares. (1)
Resited by Mr March (1) to above ref. The pottery found in 1962 was spread over a "fairly narrow" band of plough; material now in NUM. (2)
