Full Description

A Ro bronze sestertius of Antoninus Pius, Rome mint AD 145-161 was found on the surface of a ploughed field N of Coronation Clump. Obv ANTONINUS AUG PIUS PM TR P; Rev COS IIII ? SC in exergue, seated figure left. (1)
Found by Mr Hancock, Heather Bank, Bawtry Road, Harworth, 26/04/1972. (2)
Mr Hancock has gone to New Zealand. The present location of the coin was not established. (3) See L 5053 for nearby cropmarks.
