Full Description

Cropmarks of various shapes seen on the ground by T Shakespeare, in a field bordered by the Erewash and W of the railway bridges on Bramcote Road, were thought to represent pile dwellings. (1)
Cropmarks at above grid ref appear to be nothing more than natural drainage. (2)
The indicated probable site and adjacent fields are permanent pasture, the S one which rises away from the river contains rig and furrow. Nothing of interest was seen on the ground. (3)
