Full Description

Quantities of tile and pottery sherds were collected from the workings at the gravel pit at Attenborough. These included mortaria, grey coarse wares and Derbys ware. (1) 109 sherds held at NUM, accession no. Att62.39. (2)
Roman building debris, tiles and pottery were collected from the workings at the gravel pit at Attenborough. Scott lists this site in her gazetteer of Roman villas. (4)(5)
