Full Description

A Neo polished stone axe was found in February 1919 during building operations on Co-op premises on the NW side of Stockwell Gate, a few yards SE of Meeting House Lane and a like distance NE of the above noted building, in surface ground lately occupied by a cottage. (1)
The above description located to a small area perhaps 50.0m diameter centred at above grid ref. The implement was presented to Mansfield Museum by Mr Greenwood. (2)
