Ro tiles reported E of Holbeck Woodhouse. (1)
Nothing of archaeological interest was seen at either of the indicated sites. Mr AH Oswald died in 1960. Mr M Dalby, Keeper of Arts, Doncaster Museum has made several enquiries of the estate workers, but they reported no finds. The name Tile Kiln Wood is mentioned in (3) as Tylekylnecroft in Ed 3 (1327- 77). (2)
