Full Description

C3 coin hoard, more than 3000 coins, mixture of base silver and bronze, was discovered by metal detector by Gary Fishlock of Manchester after field had been deep ploughed for the first time (--/10/1988). Base of pot also recovered, the staining of which indicates that it was the container of the coins. Finds reported to Bassetlaw Museum and retained for examination, inquest likely.
