Mr CE Walker, a solicitor, has now retired from practice and is resident in Devon. His younger brother John Walker knows of these coins; he stated that they were found by a labourer during the construction of piles for Bawtry Bridge c 1840 and were given to his grandfather (C Walker) who, late in life, presented them to his eldest grandson.
