Full Description

Small low bank running along top of hill at N end. Bank stone or largely stone, built of sandstone and conglomerate. Bank c 1m high and max of 2m wide, no trace of external ditch - internal slight scoop. Bank stands just below junction of flat hill top and slope.
Comment - appears to be too slight to be a useful defence although the site would be ideal for a hillfort. Suggest that bank is a property division following contour and enclosing flat area of hill top. The bank is similar to a wood bank - NB location within a park. (1)
Grid ref centred.
See M576 - ? park pale.
