Full Description

According to AL Armstrong (2) "The Attenborough Pit" has produced several indeterminate flakes, one small Acheulian handaxe and some quartzite implements which might be Mousterian. (Gives grid ref SK 517 347, for Attenborough village). (1)
Grid ref for area of pits in 1930s.
