Found when prospecting with a metal detector on a recently ploughed field - not found with any other relevant material. Silver cloak hasp with a sturdy 's'-shaped pin. Domed stud has a 'neatly toothed' edge and is decorated with appled wire circlets (to form a quatrefoil) set in larger circles. Each 'quatrefoil' would have had a centrally set pellet, one or two of which are now missing. The object is in good condition - some silver tarnish gone but gold gilt is still visible. Slightly crushed but otherwise complete. (1)
