Full Description

Early medieval silver and gold circular pin head. It is decorated on one surface with four intertwined beasts. Gilding remains only in the depressions of the surface. The object has two circular holes drilled near to its edge, and a small suspension loop. It was probably part of a triple pin set. Early Medieval silver secondary Sceatta, series QIIC, 725-45 AD. Overse side depicts a four legged beast, looking back with tail curling forward over body. (2)
