Full Description

Area in centre of village, to W of the road with a range of ewks. Hollow way (old "Back Lane"), across W side, with property boundaries meeting it from E at R-angles, notably in S of area. A large mound is visible in NW corner. In field to E of church, a R-angled bank encloses the SW corner, next to church -yard, surrounding building platforms and a well. At the E end of this field are a small hollow and boundary bank along roadside. In field to SE of church there is a R-angled bank marking an old enclosure field in NW corner, a no. of boundary banks and a hollow along W side and probable building platforms in centre. E side of field has been built on, and site of L1687 (pond) is covered up with building debris. (1)
