Full Description

Land around Dovecote Farm, between Church St. and Mill Lane. On the W side of Church St. at its N end, roadside is marked by a steep bank. Boundary banks join this from W, creating series of terraced properties, rising to N. E of Church St., in N of area, E-W R and F has been quarried away at its E end. Next to Church St., two building platforms and deep, 5m diameter hollow before R and F starts. Boundary between this field and one to S also shows a drop in ground level. This field, which surrounds Dovecote Farm has beem much improved and ewks only survive at S end, E of school. N-S R and F ends in a headland and this and some linear banks enclose two small field sized areas to the north. (1)
