Full Description

A large socketed bronze axehead of rectangular cross section was found in fine condition, with remains of wood in the socket. The blade has a cast decoration of 5 longitudinal ridges ending in small pellets. ... Length 126mm, edge width 52mm. (1)
Late BA socketed axe, Sompting type, Ind Phase X-Ewart Park, 3 longitudinal ridges 70mm apart, length 126mm, width 52mm (67-159). (2)
The above references describe the same item, the different number of ridges being due to a different way of describing the decoration. (3)
