Full Description

Scattered sherds of Med pottery of C13-C15/16 were found during the preliminary scraping of the land surface in the general area of the boats before gravel extraction. Traces of strip cultivation on the old meadow surface are also circumstantial evidence that the site was arable land by the later middle ages at least. (1)
See L795 for IA pottery and cross refs to boats.
