Full Description

The field on the south (of the mounds) was constructed of high ridge and furrow, as far as the bye-pass. A section across the ridges and furrows revealed charcoal with C18/C19 potsherds, probably from manuring. The furrows contained an inverted U drain-pipe popular after 1783. (1)
Levelled and built over. No finds made when adjoining field ploughed. (2)
See L802 for earthworks, L7997 for C19 mound and pond.
