Finds from Saxon cemetery include a fragment of glass cup with inscription "Semper" (illustration shows palm cup). (1)
A Saxon cemetery rather than Ro but with one or two undoubtedly Ro objects - an animal brooch and the fragment of inscribed glass bowl. (2)
Objects displayed in the BM include the glass fragment inscribed "Semper". (3)
Thin yellow translucent glass bowl … Originally postulated to be of Ro origin, but it has been suggested that the style of lettering proclaims this piece to be of late or post medieval date. (5)
