Full Description

Some 200 flint flakes and implements were recovered (many from IA features). They included scrapers, blades, a tanged arrowhead and cores and waste flakes, the latter indicating manufacture on the site. 2 features of this date were a small pit, and a ring ditch to the E of the main enclosure, associated with flint flakes and small fragments of early BA pottery. Cultivation had begun before the IA homestead was founded, for the boundary ditches were cut through plough-soil at the bottom of the slope. (1)
