Full Description
Fieldwalking revealed a significant cluster of ... Med pottery either side of the Fosse Way in fields 245, 246 and 248. 106 sherds recovered, mainly from the E side of the Fosse, including Cistercian, Midland sandy, Midland purple, Nottingham, Nottingham sandy and Nottingham splashed wares. This is a peak density for the entire corridor and as it is comparable with the density of pottery from Danethorpe Med village, probably represents settlement. (1)
Grid ref is 6 fig. See L1630 for flints and cross refs.
