Full Description
On Hoe Hill is a low mound 27ft in diameter, placed on high ground. (1)
Trial excavations were carried out to determine the nature of this suspected barrow and Anglo Saxon cemetery (sic). 2 trenches were dug to to locate a possible barrow ditch and any burials. The results were negative; the only finds were 2 flint cores and a few badly abraded sherds. (2)
Nothing visible on available APs. (3)
Indicated site now under pasture. There are no surface indications of a mound. Dean is now dead. (4)
