Full Description

A site in which previous excavations produced Romano-British kiln. (1)
An AP taken after the stripping of topsoil revealed traces of ditches and pits. Work carried out by Mr D March in 1967 showed that some of these related to C2 Ro occupation. A Ro ditch was located, and large sections of it were excavated. (2)
Excavation by Mr DJ March identified a possible corn drying oven in this area. Nothing similar was found in 1969 (sic), but some tiles were recovered. (3) (4)
The whole of this area is now occupied by sewage disposal beds. (5)
See L 1810 for pit alignment.
