Rectangular feature with linear features across at right angles to short sides, and possibly small features adjacent to one side, inside. Long pit alignment stretching over 2 fields and perhaps connecting up with pits at L 1819. More of a "straight", if gently curving line than appears on the map. Another pit alignment N of it, nearly parallel (questionable ?). (1) (2)
Cropmark was under plough; there is a heavy flint concentration adjacent to the alignment but no worked flakes were found. (3)
NB: S pit alignment is noted in Morph description (55.18.1) but is not on the NMP plot. (5)
The "rectangular enclosure" is highly suspect, and could well be the result of agricultural operations. (6)
