Full Description

Overlapping curved lines. Some other lines in a neighbouring field - natural or enclosure ditches ? (1)
Perambulation revealed no surface indications of these markings which are now under pasture, and no archaeological finds were made. The farmer has no knowledge of the works (which he considers to be "non-agricultural" but possibly "early" - ie C19 - "plough drainage"). The topographical situation is flat with an open aspect. An explanation of the markings cannot be offered. (2)
See L8505-8 for associated cropmarks, similar features at L8511.
