Full Description

Finds from fieldwalking centred at above grid ref include leaf-shaped arrowheads and fragments of polished stone axes. (1)
Preh working floors are not uncommon (but the later "follow-on" is unexpected). Mr Minnitt (1) has a vast collection of material from this area - the majority yet to classify. His flints number some 6-70000. (2)
One sherd of Peterborough type ware, and many polished axe fragments from the surface collection. Concentration of flints suggests knapping carried out in this parish. (3)
See L4746 for cross refs.
