Full Description

Approx SK 633394. A polished stone axehead of greenish igneous rock, 216mm long, 66.5mm wide and 37mm thick, was found in the reject heap at Hoveringham Gravels Ltd, --/10/1968. It can only be roughly provenanced due to the circumstances of discovery. The weapon is intact except for 3 recent chips off the edge. (1)
