(Subsequent rescue excavation (ENT153) revealed five pits, a ditch, and a stokehole together with many Sherds (none of which were wasters) (presumably all Medieval). A flint thumbnail scraper was also found. (1) Presence of iron slag and blooms suggest a bloomery site. Pottery finds include Stamford ware. Excavations continue (4))
