Full Description

A Chellean implement with wind worn surface from Cropwell Bishop (account seems to suggest in possession of GF Turton). (1)
A rolled Pa flint found in cement works (at above grid ref - info from F Hind, a Nottm antiquary). (2) In Margidinum Museum, Nottm Univ, is an Acheulean axe of iron-stained flint, considerably battered. The edges have the characteristic reversed S curve. An old label reads "Cropwell Bishop MH-". No record of other finds was found at the museum (no further info from quarry). (3)
Ovate handaxe, possibly from glacial sands. (4) (5)
