Full Description

NW-SE and NE-SW ridge and furrow separated by a hollow way running north-east, away from Colston Hall. Immediately to the south-east of this, terracing and linear banks suggest settlement. Moving south-east again, large irregular quarry hollows (see L7748) disrupt the settlement and field system earthworks. Along the north-east edge of the NE-SW ridge and furrow, the ground level drops by up to 2m to the floodplain level. (1)
Grid ref centred.
See M7748 for quarry.
