Polished Neo flint/chert axe found at Colwick at SK 609392 during gravel digging - unstratified - found on conveyor belt with gravel, 24/02/1976. Sent to Dr W Cummins, Dept of Geology, Nottm Univ. (1)
All finds were unstratified and came from reworked flood plain gravel. They have been collected between 1975 and 1977 and kept by CR Salisbury pending their display at the Colwick Country Park Interpretation Centre. Polished flint Neo axehead. (2) (3)
