Abstract/Summary

This document reports upon a fieldwalking survey in advance of the development of the power station at Staythorpe, Nottinghamshire. This will involve the construction of a relief road around the village of Averham, together with alterations to the main road and road junctions. The fieldwalking survey is the first part of a programme of field evaluation designed to examine the archaeological potential of this site.
