Abstract/Summary

A historic building assessment of a c.18th century building at Mason’s Barn, Ratcliffe-on-Soar, Nottinghamshire, (SK 495 296) was undertaken by ULAS in August 2007 on behalf of Network Rail. NR proposed to build a new railway station platform and buildings with associated car parking, access roads and track alterations which may include the demolition of Mason’s Barn. The building was probably a farmhouse which formed part of a larger complex of buildings that formed an irregular U-shaped courtyard plan.
