Abstract/Summary
Building Report commissioned prior to demolition of The Maltings, Mansfield Woodhouse. Former maltings (now demolished) constructed of flattish limestones built to rough courses, with ashlar quoins reinforcing the corners. Construction seems to have taken place in five distinct phases. In the middle of the C19, the Malthouse was a single building, yet by the time the 1st ed OS map was published in 1897 almost all the buildings we see today had been erected. There were glazed windows in the southern gable end.
