Title Land adjacent to Acacia Walk, Beeston, Nottinghamshire: An Archaeological Watching Brief Report
Author/Originator
Date/Year 2010

Abstract/Summary

Between March and May 2010, an archaeological watching brief was undertaken at the land adjacent to Acacia Walk, Beeston, Nottinghamshire. The natural deposits were overlain in the north of the site by a sequence of subsoil and topsoil, however horizontal truncation of these deposits had occurred across much of the west of the site. A number of 19th and 20th century building foundations were observed along the perimeter of the site, these included a large circular brick foundation in the southwest of the site, and a cellar in the east, most of these features relate to the Iron Foundry which previously occupied the site. The entire site was sealed by made ground deposits.
