Abstract/Summary

Report on archaeological investigations in advance of and during the construction of a gas pipeline. The pipeline ran from Blyborough to Cottam, a distance of approximately 26km. Investigations included desk-based assessment, auger survey, geophysics, sample excavation on nine selected sites and a watching brief on the remaining sites. An auger survey and watching brief was carried out on the section of pipeline that fell within Nottinghamshire.
