Title Geophysical Survey, Costock Road, East Leake
Author/Originator
Date/Year 2015

Abstract/Summary

A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 6.8 hectares of rough pasture. The only evidence of archaeology on site is ridge and furrow cultivation indicating past agricultural activity. A large number of possible former pits may be of archaeological or natural origin. The remaining features are modern in origin and include a service, magnetic disturbance from nearby ferrous objects, evidence of modern agricultural activity, such as ploughing, and magnetic spikes that are likely to be modern rubbish.
