Abstract/Summary

MOLA was commissioned by CgMs Consulting to carry out archaeological trial trenching on land adjacent to Hempshill Hall, Nuthall, Nottinghamshire prior to proposed development of the site. Two trenches were excavated in the southernmost field in the development area. In both trenches the ground level had been significantly raised to stabilise an area shown as marsh on the 1955-1960 Ordnance Survey. No features of archaeological interest were present.
