A geophysical (magnetometer) survey, was undertaken on approximately 5 hectares of land across one field in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire. Low magnitude magnetic responses across the survey area indicate variable geology resulting from the topography of the site. Across the site, ferrous anomalies have also been identified. Based on the results and interpretation of the data therefore, the archaeological potential is considered to be low.
