This report presents the results of an archaeological monitoring and recording undertaken on land at Old Stack Yard, Church Street, Cropwell Bishop, Nottinghamshire. The project was commissioned in order to monitor groundworks associated with construction of 8 new dwellings. Occasional finds of prehistoric and Roman material have been made around the village that indicate the possibility of early settlement and use of the local landscape. Whilst there was a potential for archaeology in the area, the groundwork recorded only topsoil and natural.
