A detailed magnetic gradiometer survey was undertaken in connection with a replacement series of electricity poles on land off Kelham Lane, Kelham. The site is archaeologically sensitive, located close to cropmarks of enclosures of probable Iron Age or Roman date and close to a presumed Iron Age burial ground. Earlier, Neolithic, artefactual material is also known from the general area. The survey did not reveal any anomalies likely to relate archaeological features.
